Residential Elevator Door Baffles Available

The residential elevator door baffle is designed to be a solution for existing residential elevators that do not meet the 3-5 Rule. The 3-5 rule for residential elevators refers to the pocket that is created when the elevator shaft and swing door configuration are incorrectly built, leaving a gap when the swing door is closed. This is a major safety hazard and liability for not only the homeowner, but any elevator company performing work on the elevator---even if it is a minor repair unrelated to the door. Precision Lift Industries, LLC’s elevator door baffle is vacuum formed and molded to fit almost any standard 36” door. Each door baffle is light weight, measures approximately 32”wide x 31” tall x 4” thick, and is available in an attractive white color. Installation takes only a few minutes and attaches to most any standard size doors with standard or vandal resistant wood screws. This product is intended to greatly reduce safety hazards associated with excessive gaps between the elevator shaft wall and the back of the hoistway swing door. This door baffle does not guarantee compliance with National Elevator Code commonly known as the 3” x 5” rule. Additional modifications to the door/hoistway framing and/or elevator system may be necessary.

Humbaugh Lift Company has been awarded the contract for elevator repairs at the Imogene Theatre in Milton, FL. A fire started in the building on January 7, 2009 and the theatre is being restored.

Humbaugh Lift Awarded Contract at GulfQuest Museum

Humbaugh Lift Company has been awarded the contract to install wheelchair lifts at the GulfQuest Museum in Mobile, Alabama. The Museum is expected to open in late 2012 and will be the first museum dedicated to the Gulf Coast’s rich maritime traditions – and only the third interactive maritime museum in the world.

Greenhut Construction Awards Contract to Humbaugh Lift Company:

Humbaugh Lift Company was recently awarded the elevator contract to install a new traction elevator located at building 1500 on the Naval Air Station in Pensacola, Florida. Greenhut Construction is working with Caldwell and Associates of Pensacola to completely renovate and modernize building 1500. This will be Humbaugh Lift Company's 4th elevator installation on NAS Pensacola.

Abrams Group Awards Contract to Humbaugh Lift Company:

Humbaugh Lift Company was recently awarded the elevator contract to install a new hydraulic elevator located at Building 2943 at Whiting Field in Milton, Florida. Humbaugh Lift Company has installed and repaired multiple commercial elevators at the military bases in the Gulf Coast area.

Courtney Humbaugh, Marketing Manager for Humbaugh Lift Company, was chosen as a “Rising Star” by the Independent News. Over 140 nominations were received and a third of the nominations were chosen based on community involvement and leadership.

Humbaugh plays an active role in the Pensacola community, serving on the Gulf Breeze Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Pensacola Young Professionals, Homebuilders Association of West Florida, and many other organizations. She also received Gulf Breeze Chamber of Commerce’s Emerging Leader of the Year award in 2006 and Humbaugh Lift Company received the Small Business of the Year award for 2007.

Outdoor Elevator Release Date:

The Outdoor Elevator is unlike anything available on the market today, and is the only vertical platform lift designed for the harsh coastal and outdoor environments. The Outdoor Elevator is a hybrid of a traditional residential elevator, and a vertical platform lift. It consists of 99% corrosion resistant materials consisting of primarily mill finish aluminum, aluminum composite, and stainless steel. This lift is safe for passengers and cargo utilizing all required safety switches and slack cable safety mechanisms. The Outdoor Elevator has been designed and built by Precision Lift Industries, LLC, of Gulf Breeze, Florida.

Small Business of the Year:

Humbaugh Lift Company was awarded the 2007 Small Business of the Year award by the Gulf Breeze Area Chamber of Commerce at its annual awards gala on Saturday, February 2, 2008. Awards were given out for the following categories: Volunteer of the Year, Nancy Keyes Award, Emerging Business of the Year, Emerging Volunteer of the Year, Small Business of the Year and Business of the Year.
